Prof. Dr. Tamara Klikovac, PhD
Prof. Dr. Tamara Klikovac, PhD - Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Family Therapist; REBT therapist (rational-emotional-behavioral therapy).
Associate professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She obtained rich professional experience working as a psychologist at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, primarily at the Department of Pediatric Oncology.
She also deals with psychotherapy and counseling work with adult oncology patients. She is engaged in teaching at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
She completed family therapy focused on grieving and working with families through the process of loss and grieving (Family focused grief therapy) (Prof. Dr. David Kissane), numerous shorter educations in various psychotherapy modalities (Meaning-Centered psychotherapeutic interventions in advanced cancer, Prof. Dr. William Breitbart); Logotherapy, Prof. Dr. Križo Katinić; Scheme therapy, Prof. Dr. Tijana Mirović; Counseling and support for families with hereditary cancer syndromes.
She founded the Serbian Association for Psycho-Oncology (SAPO). She was educated in the field of palliative care for children and adults in Budapest, Germany and the USA. She is also a member and secretary of the Republican Expert Commission for Patient Support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia.
Research work and above all her practical work are dedicated to psycho-oncology, pediatric psycho-oncology, psychological aspects of palliative care, health psychology and mental health.
She worked at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia for 16 years, primarily in the Department of Pediatric Oncology, but also with adult oncology patients and their families.
She is an associate of Belhospis, the first Center for palliative care in Serbia.
She is the author of numerous professional works.
